Mutual funds ended last week outperforming the PAMI, inching down 1.1 percent while the PAMI fell 2.93 percent to 7,191. Only 2 funds ended the week on a positive note. AMEX Second Fund and SAIB Third Fund topped gainers with a 0.19 percent and a 0.16 percent gain,respectively. Meanwhile, Cairo Bank Fund declined 1.84 percent to finish at the end of the list.
Mutual funds outperformed the PAMI in terms of YTD performance, as it inched down 24 percent while the PAMI retreated 8.77 percent. AMEX Second Fund dominated year to date performers with a 1.55 percent YTD gain followed by Orient Trust advancing 1.44 percent and SAIB Third Fund adding on 1.33 percent gain. Meanwhile, Egyptian American Bank Fund realized the lowest performance with a 4.17 percent decline in its YTD NAV.
