Waste Management Solutions Forum Kicks off at EcoWASTE 2018 in Dubai

The EcoWASTE Exhibition today inaugurated the Waste Management Solutions Forum, a premium event that gathers solutions providers and municipalities to discuss sustainable waste management strategies.

Eng. Saif Mohamed AlShara, Assistant Undersecretary, Sustainable Communities Sector, UAE delivered the opening address, highlighting the role of waste management in creating sustainable environments. Following his address, Eng. Saeed Al Mehairbi, Acting General Manager, Tadweer (The Centre of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi) delivered the keynote speech, highlighting Abu Dhabi’s waste management strategy.

With a future-centric agenda committed to advancing sustainable waste management and recycling across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA the fifth edition of EcoWASTE Exhibition is currently taking place at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The event is hosted by Masdar, as part of the annual Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, in strategic partnership with Tadweer (The Centre of Waste Management – Abu Dhabi).

Commenting on the Waste Management Solutions Forum, Eng. The Forum hosted panel sessions and presentations with high-level industry leaders and decision makers on integral topics such as reducing landfill stress and elimination of dumpsites, waste-to-energy programmes, recycling used oil, utilizing data analytics for future waste services, and innovations for a zero-waste society.
