Warba Bank sponsors the Kuwait Nephrology Association and supports its health awareness podcast
As part of its comprehensive commitment to social responsibility and its efforts to broaden its contributions to include healthcare and medical awareness, Warba Bank announced its sponsorship of the Kuwait Nephrology Association (KNA) by supporting the production of an awareness podcast aimed at raising public understanding of kidney health, educating patients and promoting prevention of chronic kidney diseases.
This initiative comes as part of Warba Bank’s participation in the First Comprehensive Kidney Care Exhibition held at the Kuwait International Fairgrounds on October 17 and18, 2025, under the patronage of the Minister of Health. The Bank dedicated a media booth at the exhibition, where two educational podcast episodes were recorded. These episodes will be released soon on the social media platforms of the Kuwait Nephrology Association.
Dr. Mohammad Barakat, Chief Group Marketing and Corporate Communications Officer at Warba Bank, affirmed that this initiative reflects the Bank’s commitment to expanding its social responsibility to include health and medical fields, emphasizing that genuine social responsibility extends beyond banking to improving the lives and wellbeing of the community.
“Warba Bank is working hand in hand with specialized medical associations and health organizations to enrich society with reliable medical knowledge and to support initiatives that promote health awareness and improve the quality of life for patients. This falls within our corporate social responsibility strategy, which focuses on investing in programs and campaigns that serve all segments of society,” said Barakat.
He added: “Warba Bank aims to be an active partner in achieving sustainable development in Kuwait by supporting initiatives that raise awareness of societal and health issues and by empowering individuals to access the support they need to fulfill their aspirations.”
From his side, Dr. Ahmad Al-Qallaf, Treasurer of the Kuwait Nephrology Association, expressed his appreciation for this strategic partnership, saying: “We deeply value this partnership with Warba Bank and consider it a model for genuine social responsibility. The support our association receives from leading national institutions is vital to delivering our awareness message about kidney diseases to the widest possible audience. We thank them for recognizing the importance of this initiative and for providing support that goes beyond financial contribution, reflecting a true belief in the importance of raising health awareness and supporting patients.”
He continued: “The mission of the Kuwait Nephrology Association is clear and focused: to raise community awareness of kidney diseases, provide reliable and simplified medical information to patients and their families, support them throughout their health journey and work toward preventing chronic kidney disease through education and early detection. We believe that knowledge is power and empowering patients with accurate information enables them to make better health decisions and manage their conditions more effectively.”
Educational Podcast Supervised by Specialist Doctors
The two podcast episodes feature a distinguished group of nephrology specialists discussing key preventive measures for maintaining kidney health, the latest medical practices in managing kidney diseases and practical advice for patients suffering from chronic kidney conditions. The episodes also include guidance for healthy individuals on how to prevent such illnesses.
These episodes aim to provide reliable, accessible medical information that helps patients and their families understand kidney diseases, manage them correctly and make informed health decisions. The initiative also seeks to raise public awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention of kidney diseases, which are among the most common chronic conditions globally.
