VIVA sponsors TEDxSafat under the slogan “Ideas Worth Spreading "

Out of the Corporate Social Responsibility commitment for the Kuwait Telecommunication Company VIVA, and as part of its long term strategy to invest and sponsor cultural and intellectual gathering, the company has sponsored the TEDxSafat conference that took place at the Al-Babtain Central Library for Arabic Poetry on Wednesday, Jan 18^th 2012.

The TEDxSafat conference, being held for the first time in Kuwait, carried the tagline “Ideas Worth Spreading” and attracted many intellectual thinkers and elite speakers such as Dr. Saad Al Barak, Maha Al Ghunaim, Hussa Al Humaidhi, Ahmad BouShehri, Sulayman Al Bassam, Sheikha Intisar Salem Al Ali Al Sabah, Ghanim Alnajjar and Khaled Al Kulaib to share their thoughts and ideas with the huge audience who were thrilled with the discussions and ideas presented.

VIVA CEO, Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Badran stated that “ VIVA was keen to be part of this conference as it is in line with the company’s objective and values to increase the cultural awareness within the society out of its obligation towards the community we live in”

Al Badran added “The conference was an ideal platform for intellectual thinkers with passion for innovative ideas to share and spread their ideas to change attitudes and lives in order to make a change in Kuwait and beyond. The discussions revolved around technical, design, entertainment, science, arts, architecture, global issues and many others”.

He concluded by thanking the organizers of the conference, the speakers and all the staff who made this possible and stressed on the fact that VIVA’s contribution to the society is endless as it aims to play a key role in the development and enrichment of the Kuwait Society.
