Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, announced that it has organized a Quran memorization contest for the second year in a row in collaboration with the renowned reciter Bader AL Bashar as part of its annual Ramadan campaign in celebration of the Holy Month. The initiative falls under the Company’s “With good, we go further” initiative. The Quran memorization contest is one of several initiatives stc has launched during this Ramadan as part of its ongoing commitment to engage with the community in line with its extensive Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability programs.
Held at the Moza Muhammad Salem Mosque in Bayan, the contest aims to encourage young participants to learn and properly recite the Holy Quran, developing a deeper connection with Islam and its teachings. Led by renowned reciter Bader AL Bashar, the competition welcomed more than 80 children across two categories that include participants from 7-10 years old and 11-13 years old. Contestants in the younger category will be tested on their memorization and recitation of Juz Amma, while those in the older category recited from Juz Tabarak and Juz Qad Sami. A total of four winners were selected and honored for their memorization and recitation skills during the competition, with valuable prizes awarded by stc for their exceptional effort.
Through its role in supporting such initiatives, stc aims to nurture future generations by enabling them to build a stronger connection to their faith and heritage while promoting discipline and self-improvement through the memorization of the Quran.
