Day in the life of a penguin trainer new naming competition from Ski Dubai brings animal lovers closer than ever before

Since their initial welcome to Ski Dubai earlier this year, the Snow Penguins at Ski Dubai have become favorite residents who continue to educate and enthrall guests. As part of Ski Dubai’s initiative to create awareness about these Arctic birds and how we can all contribute towards the conservation of their natural habitat, Ski Dubai has launched a new campaign where two snow penguins will be named by the public and the winners will be able to spend an entire day with the trainers interacting with the snow penguins and learning about their traits, habits etc.

In order to ensure an unforgettable experience, Ski Dubai has developed a customized program where the lucky winners will accompany the trainers on their daily routine, partake in snow penguin care and be extended special privileges like feeding the penguins, guided toursof their favorite areas and “Behind the scenes” admission. They will also lead the “March of the Penguins”,spend quality time interacting one-on-one with the colony, and above all, learning about the importance of environmental conservation. All activities will be under the supervision of trainers and snow penguin experts who will also be on hand to answer questions and queries.

The on-line competition is currently live and will close on 7^th June 2012 and can be entered by simply logging onto www.skidubaipenguins.com and watching a short video of the two snow penguins to gauge their individual personalities, before submitting a name. The winners will be judged by the trainers and announced on the 14^th of June on www.skidubaipenguins.com.

Part of a multi-generation breeding program, the snow penguins have been raised in the care of humans and applicants are welcome to submit multiple entries to increase their chances of meeting their “Peng-friend”.
