Silk Route to hold free cooking lessons for women!

Learn the art of Thai and Chinese cooking at Silk Route, the award-winning Asian restaurant located at Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa in the Bastakiya area where aspiring chefs, housewives and cooking enthusiasts are invited for free live cooking demonstrations every Saturday starting from 19th November. 

The first cooking session will be conducted by the restaurant’s in-house chefs, Chef Sumphot Psotsalee and Chef Liugang who will present their cooking skills including food preparation and presentation techniques. Highly skilled chefs will also guest the sessions. Discover for yourself the secrets behind Silk Route’s mouthwatering dishes such as Lobster and Black Pepper, Sweet and Sour Prawns, Dimsums, Peking Duck, Pad Thai, Fried Jumbo Prawn with Tamarind Sauce, Stir Fried Chicken with Cashew Nuts, Golden Fried Homemade Vegetable Spring Roll, among a few. Learn how to prepare delectable desserts such as Sticky Rice with Mango and Coconut Custard. 

Mr. Habib Khan, General Manager, Arabian Courtyard Hotel & Spa, said: “We would like to invite women who have a fancy for cooking to join our weekly cooking classes at Silk Route Restaurant where they can learn the various techniques in preparing and cooking Chinese and Thai dishes. This initiative is part of our community involvement and we would like to share our cooking skills to aspiring chefs out there!” 

The cooking session will start every Saturday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and will be followed by high tea. Participants can also get a chance to win an F&B Privilege Card as well as four complimentary meals for two dining vouchers valid for use at Silk Route Restaurant.
