Several Celebrities Attend Screening of Documentary Film I Have A Picture at Zawya Cinema

On tuesday, director Mohamed Zedan'sdocumentary film I Have A Picture: Film No. 1001 in the Life of the Oldest Extra in the World had a full house screening at Zawya Cinema.

On tuesday, director Mohamed Zedan'sdocumentary film I Have A Picture: Film No. 1001 in the Life of the Oldest Extra in the World had a full house screening at Zawya Cinema. The film screening was extended for the past two screenings after all tickets were sold-out. The screening witnessed the attendance of directors Ahmad Abdalla El Sayed, Yousry Nasrallah, Khairy Beshara, and Ahmed El Manawishi, actor Aly Kassem and film critic Ramy Abdel Razek. They all attended the Q&A after the screening and interacted with director Mohamed Zedan, along with the film crew; editor Mayye Zayed and DOP Mohamad EL-Hadidi.

I Have A Picture won four international awards, including the Gold Star for Best Arabic Documentary Film at its world premiere at the 1st El Gouna Film Festival in 2017, Best Documentary Film award at the Tripoli Film Festival in Lebanon, Jury Award for Best Documentary Film more than 15 minutes at the Egyptian National Film Festival, and the Best Documentary Film award at the Sharjah Film Platform (SFP) in the UAE, organized by Sharjah Art Foundation.

With the help of Kamal El Homossany, one of the oldest assistant directors in Egypt, Zedan, a young indie filmmaker, is making a documentary about Motawe Eweis, who has worked as an extra in about 1000 Egyptian films since the forties.

Directed and written by Mohamed Zedan, I Have A Picture: Film No. 1001 in the Life of the Oldest Extra in the World stars Kamal EL-Homossany, Motawe Eweis, and Zedan. The film crew includes DOP Mohamad EL-Hadidi andMusic Composer Micheal Fawzy. The film is distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions.
