Sensational family day out at Atlantis, the Palm in Dubai

Atlantis, The Palm is gearing up for an incredible Family Day Out on Friday, 7 October, with a full range of entertainment and unique experiences sure to please all ages.

At the top on children’s wish list will be to join The Lost Chambers’ first treasure hunt, taking place all day through the maze of underground tunnels of marine exhibits on 7 October. ‘The Hidden Crystal of Poseidon’ only shows itself once every hundred years and children will be given clues and prizes as explore The Lost Chambers to find it. Families can drop in at any time from 10am until 8pm, and while children search for the crystal, there will also be stories and talks featuring the marine creatures, face painting, tours through The Chambers, demonstrations from our divers and Aquatheatre performances. Those who have never experienced the wonders of The Lost Chambers will be amazed at the incredible exhibits dedicated to different sea creatures, such as colourful coral reef eco-systems, flesh eating piranhas, and glittery anchovies. There are also special ‘touch tanks’ allowing guests to touch, feel and interact with sea life. For UAE residents on 7 October, there will be complimentary access for one child with a paying adult, and other vouchers and coupons will be accepted as normal. Hotel guests have unlimited complimentary access to The Lost Chambers.

Teens love Atlantis, The Palm, not least for the awe-inspiring water slides at AQUAVENTURE, but now also for its exclusive teen events. After a successful launch in September, Atlantis will once again play host to another Teen’s Club Culture event, Aquaventure Extreme. On 7 October 2011 from 7pm until 10.30pm, Torrent Beach will be open exclusively for those aged 13-17 years. DJ Brent Black will set the mood as teens chill on the beach, float by on the Torrent River, or risk it on The Leap of Faith. Teens can also get competitive at the gaming zone, or refresh at the Dermalogica hydration stations. Entry for Teens Club Culture members is AED100 and AED150 for non-members.

Of course, the whole family can enjoy AQUAVENTURE all day from 10am on 7 October, including Splashers, a water playground featuring elaborate water games, slides and structures for children less than 1.2 metres and their parents. 

For a timeless moment in a fun filled day out, families can gaze into the world renowned The Ambassador Lagoon, an 11 million litre marine habitat and underwater exhibit, home to the sunken streets and boulevards of the mythical lost world of Atlantis.

Keeping the family well fed during the full day of activities will not be a problem, with family favourites The Burger Joint (TBJ) dishing out wagyu beef burgers with unique BBQ sauces, crispy homemade hand-cut fries and thick milk shakes - strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, banana or cookies and cream.
