Samsung home appliances receives Emirates Quality Mark from ESMA

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, announced today that it has been awarded the Emirates Quality Mark for its range of home appliance products. 

A delegation from the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) visited Samsung’s headquarters in Seoul where they granted Samsung the Emirates Quality Mark after successfully complying with ESMA’s certification requirements. The Emirates Quality Mark will apply to Samsung air conditioners, refrigerator, washing machines, microwaves and vacuum cleaners.

ESMA was established as the sole standardization body to help promote a green economy and society within the UAE. ESMA was mandated to provide quality solutions related to standardization, accreditation, and metrology through implementing best practices. 

Mr. Abdulla Abdelqadir Al Muaini, Director of Conformity Affairs, ESMA, said: “ After visiting the factory site and production facilities, we concluded that Samsung is one of the best energy efficient manufacturers selling high quality home appliances in the UAE.”
