Ramada Ajman organises beach cleanup drive

Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman, in its continuous efforts to build awareness on environmental initiatives recently organized its annual Beach Cleanup Drive at the Ajman Public Beach. This initiative undertaken by the hotel’s staff and department heads is part of the hotel’s “Go Green” campaign which is aimed at creating a green business environment. 

Iftikhar Hamdani, General Manager, Ramada Ajman said: “We want to thank each and every employee who volunteered to take part in this drive. This campaign is a manifestation of Ramada Ajman’s deep commitment to the community to protect our surroundings. Our goal for the cleanup is to pick up every piece of trash we can reach and at the same time, educate the public on the responsibility of protecting the marine environment.” 

Ramada Ajman strongly believes in the importance of environmental initiatives that have a direct impact on the community. The hotel encourages organizations and individuals to take part in these eco-friendly causes, helping to increase the level of awareness amongst the community. 

The clean-up drive kicked off at 4 pm by distributing gloves, t-shirts, trash bags and rakes to the participants and concluded at 6pm. The team collected a total of 50 bags of trash. 

"This is our first beach clean-up and we intend to do this annually. It is our way of getting together as one family and show that we care for our mother nature," concluded Hamdani.
