RAK FTZ celebrates second anniversary of the immigration office at the free zone

Reinforcing its strategic cooperation with General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner Affairs, Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone, RAK FTZ, one of the fastest-growing and most cost-effective free trade zones in the UAE, recently organised a special event to commemorate the second anniversary of the establishment of the office of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner Affairs within the free zone.
At the event, held at Al Hamra Golf Club, RAK FTZ emphasised on the strong cooperation and partnership between the free zone and the immigration department. Several top officials from the immigration department were also felicitated during the event.
The occasion was attended by top government officials, including Sheikh Mohammed Bin Kayed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Economic Development Department; Brigadier Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director General of Residency and Foreigner Affairs, Ras Al Khaimah; and Ms Maryam Al Murshedi Al Shehhi, Deputy Director General of RAK FTZ, as well as the employees from the immigration department and RAK FTZ, and media representatives.
In his comments, Sheikh Bin Kayed Al Qasimi said: “For its ongoing long-term commitment to contribute to the GDP growth of Ras Al Khaimah, I would like to congratulate the efforts of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner Affairs and RAK Free Trade Zone. The combined efforts of these establishments have played pivotal roles in ramping up business support to provide the best business infrastructure, opportunities and policies to achieve future success.”
Brigadier Al Nuaimi said: “It is a matter of immense privilege for our directorate to complete two years within RAK Free Trade Zone. As a department, we are committed to implement procedures in line with the strategy of the UAE leadership’s prudent policies aimed at creating a harmonious work and life environment within Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE. As a department, we strive to harness all human, physical and electronic capabilities to simplify procedures and upgrade performance in a smooth and precise manner.”
Al Murshedi added: “We are pleased to work closely with General Directorate of Residency and Foreigner Affairs in facilitating a cohesive work environment within the Emirate. The directorate has a huge responsibility to respond to the challenges of the increasing population diversity as also to the national and expatriate workforce in Ras Al Khaimah.
