RAK Ceramics receives ‘Best In Managing Health At Work Award’ at Asian Leadership Awards 2011

RAK Ceramics, the world's largest ceramic tiles & bathware manufacturing company, has announced that it has been named winner of the “Best In Managing Health At Work Award” in the Asian Leadership Awards (ALA) 2011. The award, presented to RAK Ceramics during the ALA Awards at the Taj Palace Hotel Dubai on September 25, 2011, was hosted by the Asian Confederation of Businesses and supported by Stars of the Industry Group.
RAK Ceramics has been recognized for its strong focus on corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, particularly its efforts to offer quality healthcare services to all employees through the RAK Ceramics Medical Center, which is now managed by RAK Hospital, a leading provider of international-quality healthcare in Ras Al Khaimah. RAK Ceramics Medical Center is staffed by a dedicated team of doctors and nurses who provide free services to all employees staying within and outside the factory premises.
RAK Ceramics’ HSE Department has also been awarded the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) certificate, which is designed to help non-specialists carry out their organizational duties or functions more effectively with respect to workplace health and safety. The UK-based NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is a globally recognized qualification that is held by more than 100,000 people in the UK and worldwide.
