Queen Alia International Airport Achieves Airport Council International World Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation Level1
Airport International Group (AIG), the Jordanian company operating Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA), announced today that the airport has achieved Level 1 of Airports Council International (ACI) World's Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation (AEA) Program, marking its first participation in the global accreditation program. The achievement reflects QAIA's commitment to creating a more accessible and inclusive airport experience while aligning its facilities, services and operational practices with internationally recognized standards.
The ACI World Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation recognizes airports that demonstrate a structured approach to improving accessibility and embedding inclusion across their operations. By attaining Level 1, QAIA joins a growing network of airports worldwide committed to ensuring that all passengers can travel with greater ease, confidence and independence.
Accessibility is an integral part of AIG's broader vision for enhancing the passenger experience. Over the years, QAIA has introduced a range of measures designed to better support passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility, including accessible parking and terminal infrastructure, tactile guidance, adapted passenger facilities, priority seating, sign language interpretation services, AI-powered service call points, and continuous improvements to its digital platforms. These initiatives reflect AIG's ongoing efforts to foster a welcoming environment where every traveler can enjoy a seamless journey.
Commenting on the achievement, Nicolas Deviller, Chief Executive Officer of Airport International Group, said, “Achieving Level 1 of the ACI World Accessibility Enhancement Accreditation reflects our belief that accessibility is fundamental to delivering a world-class airport experience. At Airport International Group, we see inclusion as an ongoing journey rather than a destination, and this milestone reinforces our commitment to continuously evolving Queen Alia International Airport in line with international best practices. We thank ACI World for this recognition and look forward to building on it as we continue creating an airport experience that is welcoming, seamless and accessible for all—bringing our brand promise, 'QAIA Feels Like Home,' to life for every passenger.”
It is worth noting that the accreditation adds to a strong year of international recognition for AIG and QAIA. In 2026, the airport also upgraded its ACI World Airport Customer Experience Accreditation from Level 3 to Level 4, retained its SKYTRAX 4-Star Airport Rating, and entered the SKYTRAX list of the World's Top 100 Airports. Together, these achievements demonstrate AIG's commitment to its long-term vision of delivering a world-class airport experience.
