Qatar National Library Wins Prestigious “Excellence in Concrete Construction” Award
 
  Qatar National Library has been presented with the “Excellence” award by the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards. The building won first place in the “Decorative Concrete” category.
The Library’s 45,000-square-meter building was designed by world-renowned architect, Rem Koolhaas, and features numerous custom-designed innovations that play an instrumental role in allowing the building to adapt to the evolving needs of its visitors.
The Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards recognize concrete projects at the forefront of innovation and technology, and showcase such projects to inspire excellence in concrete design and construction around the world. Those projects considered for the award integrate creative techniques and technologies to keep up with ever-evolving economic, environmental and aesthetic demands
