Qatar Foundation (QF) has lit its Headquarters building bright blue to mark World Autism Awareness Day. The building in Education City will remain bathed in blue light, the official color of Autism Awareness Month, for three nights as part of the QF’s Pre-University Education’s (PUE) annual campaign. PUE will also hold a range of inclusive and autism-friendly events across Education City throughout the month of April, including the Autism Awareness Day Celebration at AL SHAQAB on Saturday, April 21. World Autism Awareness Day was first proposed by Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, to the United Nations in 2007, and was adopted without vote by the UN General Assembly.
