Qatar Foundation (QF) will mark the academic achievements of the Class of 2017 at its annual Convocation ceremony at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC) on Tuesday, May 2.

The ceremony will honor graduates from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and QF’s eight partner universities, showcasing QF student achievements, success stories, and future aspirations.

Mrs. Mayan Zebeib, Chief Communications Officer, QF, said: “At Qatar Foundation, we strive to provide our students with a range of unique learning opportunities designed to enhance their academic, professional, and personal skills, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools to face the challenges of tomorrow as global citizens - they are empowered, they are ready, and they are capable.”

Following the annual tradition, this year’s graduates will walk through the ‘Door to the Future’, symbolizing their journey towards the pursuit of knowledge and rewarding careers. Throughout the years, this door has witnessed the passage of thousands of QF graduates who now hold notable positions in a variety of sectors, and play crucial roles in organizations in Qatar and across the region.

“I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our graduating students. We are very proud to see these young men and women embark on the next chapter of their lives as they continue to break new ground on their journeys of growth. Our commitment to lifelong learning means our door will always be open to our graduates, and we will continue to support them in their pursuit of knowledge,” Mrs. Zebeib continued.

Since 2008, QF has collectively celebrated the graduation of students from its partner universities in Education City, and its homegrown research institute, HBKU.  This year’s Convocation will honor graduates from HBKU, Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ), Northwestern University in Qatar (NU-Q), Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar (VCUQatar), Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar (WCM-Q), Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q), Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q), UCL Qatar, and HEC Paris in Qatar.
