Qatar Foundation Booths Draw Thousands at Doha International Book Fair

More than 12,000 people visited the Qatar Foundation booths at the Doha International Book Fair, which concluded today.
The fair – which saw Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation (QF), attend the first day – allowed QF to showcase its literary excellence through its national reading initiative Qatar Reads.
Al-Jazi Al-henzab, Project Manager, Qatar Reads, said: “Participating in the Doha International Book Fair was a great way to build bridges with the community, which is key to designing our programs. It’s important to listen to the needs of the nation, so we can integrate reading into their daily lives and create positive habits.”
Other QF entities and programs that participated include the Akhlaquna Award, Hamad Bin Khalifa University Press, and the Qur'anic Botanic Garden, with Qatar National Library also exhibiting.
