Mr. Hayashi Noriyuki, Senior Manager, Security& Broadcast, Systems Solutions Department, Panasonic Marketing Middle East & Africa speaking at the launch of the camera recorders, said: “We have incorporated the latest technology in these recorders to make shooting, editing and the entire production process easy for producers and editors alike. The PX800 camera captures in both SD and HD and comes with a comprehensive range of codecs including AVC-Intra and the AVC- LongG (50/25/12Mbps) codec set. Moreover, the standard LAN/Ethernet port allows network connection via a wired LAN, whilst the optional wireless means the camera can support remote LAN connectivity as well which paved the path for use of functions such as proxy preview and camera remote control from a PC, Mac, tablet device or smartphone.”

Adding to Panasonic’s stellar line-up of cameras is the new AJ-PG50 portable recorder which enables dual-codec recording and comes with two micro P2 and a single P2 card slot, to accelerate the AVC-ULTRA workflow in the field.

The AVC-ULTRA player/recorder allows production companies to copy clips to an external HDD via USB and also offers wireless*2 or wired network streaming and sharing. The AJ-PG50 is the first SDI/HDMI input/output Panasonic recorder which supports 1080/59.94p, 50p.
