Ooredoo Sponsors and Takes Part in Oman Cybersecurity Conference 2024 to Discuss Best Practices in Industry

Committed to prioritising cybersecurity practices to future-proof its network and the digital ecosystems of other entities in an increasingly interconnected world, Ooredoo supported the 4th edition of the Oman Cybersecurity Conference. The aim of the event was to discuss cybersecurity opportunities and concerns faced in a digital era, which is, of course, integral to the telecoms sector.

Titled ‘Defending the Digital World: The Cybersecurity Revolution in the Communications Sector’, the event was held under the patronage of His Excellency Shaikh Ghosn bin Hilal Al Alawi, Chairman of the State Financial & Administrative Audit Institution. Ooredoo’s Chief Technology and Information Officer, Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Abri, and the technology team, as well as other telco providers, took part in a simulation drill, focusing on withstanding a potential cyberattack in the future. Ooredoo also took place in insightful panel discussions, where their leading best practices were shared
