Ooredoo Business Celebrates the end of the FIFCO World Corporate Champions Cup in Oman
Getting in the FIFA World Cup spirit, the FIFCO World Corporate Champion Cup 2022 saw an exciting final in Oman. Organised by Sports Mania, and sponsored by Ooredoo, the sixteen teams brought football enthusiasts together competing for first place. Oman Air Union grabbed the title with prizes awarded to the runners up.
Saoud Al Riyami, Director of Business Sales at Ooredoo, said, “Community engagement is a main pillar within our organisation and while our own team didn’t make the final, we were excited about the finals. As we get closer to the FIFA World Cup kick-off, this was a great way to bring together football players from different sectors to enjoy some fun and encourage them to live a more active lifestyle.”
The International Federation of Corporate Football® (FIFCO), founded in Montreal in 2009, is the governing body of corporate football. FIFCO aims to bring Excellence & Professionalism to the discipline of Corporate Football.
Ooredoo will continue to support football in Oman by hosting official Fan Zones during the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, kicking off on 20 November and giving fans unrivalled access to the action live on big outdoor screens and experience the atmosphere of a month-long festival of football.
