Ooredoo Brings Recycling to Life in Al Amerat Schools with “Save & Sustain”
Ooredoo has completed the latest phase of its “Save & Sustain” initiative in the Wilayat of Al Amerat. The programme supports recycling in schools and helps students turn sustainability into daily lives. Through hands-on experience, they are learning how recycling works and how small actions can make a real difference every day.
Through this phase, Ooredoo rolled out recycling containers to participating schools across the wilayat. The initiative encourages students to sort waste, think greener and take practical steps toward long-term environmental change.
The third and final recycling bin was delivered on 11 December 2025 to Al Naba’a for Education Primary for Girls School. With this delivery, the initiative reached all three schools included in this phase.
A core pillar of Save & Sustain is the Green Committee in each school. Each committee includes at least 30 members from students, teachers and parents. This ensures sustainability is driven by the whole school community.
By turning recycling into a daily routine, Save & Sustain helps to spread positive environmental behaviour beyond the classroom.
