NBO Launches Fully-automated Online Trade Portal

National Bank of Oman (NBO) has launched its fully-automated Online Trade Portal.

Continuing to enhance the digital landscape for its corporate customers, National Bank of Oman (NBO) has launched its fully-automated Online Trade Portal. Accessible through NBO’s Corporate Internet Banking, the Portal empowers customers to conduct transactions for suite of trade products such as Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Loan Against Trust Receipts (LTRs), Bill Discounting and documentary collection with Straight Through Processing. The system also provides clients with real time updates on their transactions, whether it be transaction status, advices, swift messages, outstanding utilization or statements.

The new Online Trade Portal allows customers to conduct all trade transactions digitally, instead of visiting branches, making the process smooth and efficient, leaving more time for running their business. Customers can view all of their reports in one place for smarter decision making, and the service is supported by a dedicated helpdesk to assist corporate customers with any queries they may have. 

Recognizing its achievements in delivering smart banking solutions, NBO has won the award for ‘Best Innovation in Corporate Banking and Finance’ at the MEA Finance Banking Technology Awards 2022, namely its Corporate Internet Banking (CIB) platform, online trade channel, the first-of-its-kind Merchant App, and the direct debit service.
