Nawras recently joined forces with Sultan Qaboos Hospital and the Ministry of Health to hold blood donation events in Muscat and Salalah. Organised by the blood transfusion services teams, Nawras family members volunteered to donate vital blood supplies as part of the Ministry’s world blood donor day activities.

Nawras Regional Director in Dhofar, Ghaneem Said Al-Mashikhi, said, “Nawras always looks to give back to the community by supporting key local and national initiatives and involving Nawras family members whenever possible. With the demand for blood supplies in hospitals across Oman, Nawras family members are eager to support this cause and were more than happy to donate blood that could save people’s lives. The process is quick and painless and volunteers were happy to think that their actions could help someone else live a longer life.”

During Ramadan, Nawras family members embarked on the ninth annual Nawras Goodwill Journey to give back to the community by helping people across the Sultanate. Giving up their time and leaving their families, two teams of fasting Nawras Goodwill Journey messengers donated much needed household appliances and equipment to support educational and social projects throughout the country.

Nawras family members embody the spirit of caring for others all year round by giving their time and effort to support the community and charitable organisations with a wide variety of activities. Alongside useful donations, Nawras also sponsors a diverse range of events and activities to provide pleasingly different support for thousands of people across the Sultanate.
