HE also highlighted the model of MBRCGI which is based on three main pillars: Innovative Ideas, Innovative Capabilities, and Innovative Culture.
HE said: “The Ministry’s role not only includes empowering the culture of innovation internally, but adds significant value in the federal government and on a UAE level. The Ministry’s key role is reflected through the launch of the ‘Mohammed bin Rashid Fund to Finance Innovation’ by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai- which represents an important step towards achieving the UAE development vision and contributes in establishing a supportive environment for innovation. We hosted this session as part of the Ministry’s commitment to building national innovation capabilities, and we continuously work on exchanging experiences and reviewing the best practices which support innovation in different government entities.”
HE added: “The Ministry of Finance supports the innovation environment in government entities and seeks to identify the latest innovation developments across the globe. This stems from the Ministry’s commitment to play an active role in making the UAE among the most innovative countries by 2021.”
MBRCGI launched the ‘Innovators Network’ as the first interactive platform to include CEOs of Innovation in order to combine efforts in developing an innovative environment in government work. The ‘Innovators Network’ gathers CEOs of Innovation, diploma graduates and innovators in UAE. This network aims to support the national innovation strategy by involving CEOs of Innovation in workshops and discussions, reviewing the best local and international practices, as well as holding seminars for international experts. This will enable CEOs of Innovation to perform their roles with regards to empowering the culture of innovation within their work entities.
