Millennium Resort Mussanah celebrates conclusion of the second Dragon Boat Festival

Held in collaboration with Dragon Boat Dynasty, Millennium Resort Mussanah’s 2^nd Dragon Boat Festival came to a close after a gruelling two day race, which saw over 120 participants compete for first place in what has become one of the most awaited challenges on the watersports’ events calendar in the Sultanate.

Festival Results for the 300m Dragon Boat Sprint Race saw Team Vachas from Muscat claim 1^st place in the Men's Category, while Team Desert Dragons from Abu Dhabi won the Women’s Category. Team Alpha Stingrays from Muscat claimed 1^st place in the Mixed Category and Team Alpha Stingrays from Muscat was crowned in the Corporate Category. In the Battle of the Strongest Tug of War Dragon Boat Challenge, Team Desert Dragons from Abu Dhabi claimed 1^st Place in the Men's and Women’s categories, while Team Vachas from Muscat came in 1^st Place in the Corporate Category.

In the International SUP Sprint Race, Marcus Sutton from Australia triumphed in the Battle of the Paddle as Fastest SUP Paddler claiming victory in the 1 Mile (1.6km) SUP Sprint Race recording a time of 9 mins 53 secs. mins. The Fastest Duo Category winners were the Al Marzooqi brothers from the UAE, Abudulaziz and Ali setting a record time of 10 minutes and .03 secs.
