Partners from across Dubai’s media world have renewed their support for the eighth Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF), organised under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. 

Media companies that have extended support for DIFF 2011, to be held from Dec. 7 to 14, include the Arabian Radio Network, encompassing of Al Khaleejiya (100.9), Dubai Eye (103.8), Radio Shoma (93.4), as the exclusive radio media partner; CNN International as official international broadcast media; Gulf News; Google; Zee Network, comprising Zee TV, Zee Cinema, and Zee Aflam; Emirates Neon Group (ENG); Kassab Media; trade magazine Variety Arabia; lifestyle magazines TimeOut Dubai, Rolling Stone Middle East, Sayidaty and Hia; Haya MBC; and Eye Media, eMatterz, broadcast partners OSN & MBC. 

Mahsa Motamedi, Executive Director of Marketing and Events, Dubai International Film Festival, said: “The media plays a significant role in promoting the Dubai International Film Festival in the region and globally. As the definitive platform for new filmmaking talent from the region, the support of the media will give much required exposure for these professionals, in addition to highlighting the festival’s credo of Bridging Cultures, Meeting Minds.” 

DIFF 2011 will screen 171 films from 56 nations representing the best of national, regional and world cinema between December 7 and 14 at the Mall of the Emirates, Madinat Jumeirah and The Walk at JBR.
