MD & CEO of DEWA meets Siemens delegation
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, has met with a senior delegation from Siemens AG, including Dr. Jan Michael Mrosik, CEO of the Energy Management Division, Karlheinz Kronen, CEO of High-Voltage Products, and Wolfgang Braun Senior Executive Vice President. The meeting are part of DEWA’s commitment to enhance cooperation with its strategic partners.
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer welcomed the delegation, and observed that the meeting enhanced cooperation between DEWA and Siemens, particularly in energy generation, transmission and distribution technologies and solutions. The meeting also discussed DEWA’s work to meet the demands of the growing community and supported DEWA’s plans to develop its energy infrastructure to adopt the best technological solutions, and enhance efficiency and reliability in its energy generation, transmission and distribution.
At the end of the visit, the delegation thanked Al Tayer for his hospitality, and for the unique opportunity to get a closer look at DEWA’s work, and the opportunity to discuss projects on which Siemens will cooperate with DEWA.

The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) was formed on 1 January, 1992, by a decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum to take over and merge the Dubai Electric Company and the Dubai Water Department that had been operating independently for several years until then.
