MAD Solutions Acquires the Distribution Rights of the Saudi Film Roll'em in the Arab World

MAD Solutions acquired the Arab world distribution rights of the Saudi film Roll'em by director Abdulelah Alqurashi. Marking the first Saudi film to commercially release in Saudi theatres, Roll'em was released in VOX Cinemas in Jeddah and Riyadh in March.

Film Analyst Alaa Karkouti, Co- founder of the Arab Cinema Center (ACC) and CEO and Co-founder  of MAD Solutions, comments, "Roll'em is a perfect example of the development in the film industry. Roll'em is an independent film with a Saudi cast and crew. The film has recently won the Best Film Awardat the first edition of Al Ain Film Festival. The film was started three years ago and took a long time to complete. The filming lasted for a month in different parts of the city of Jeddah, while the post-production phase was done in Egypt.

The film tells the story of Omar Nizar, a filmmaker in his early thirties. He is trying to make a film about Jeddah, but Omar is unaware of what Jeddah means to him and the difficulties of filmmaking in the Kingdom until he gets to know the 70-year-old DOP, Farid Lotfy who gave up his passion for cinematography is devoted to his antiques shop.

Written and directed by Abdulelah Alqurashi, co-written by Yaser Hammad, Roll'em stars Khaled Yeslam, Shaher Al Qurashi and Sarah Taibah. MAD Solutions is distributing the film across takes the Arab world.
