The Lexus LFA Nürburgring edition broke the record as the fastest car to lap the 20.8km long Nürburgring Nordschleife track, posting a 7:14 lap time with Lexus driver Akira Iida.

In light of this remarkable achievement, the Lexus LFA is considered to be the fastest car of a mainstream manufacturer to complete the German track. Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) revealed that only 500 LFA’s will be built at a maximum rate of 20 per month in order to ensure the finest build quality and attention to detail, with only 50 copies of the Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition.

The LFA Nurburgring Edition is equipped with a carbon fiber body kit, a retuned suspension, an upgraded six-speed sequential transmission and a 4.8-liter naturally aspirated V10 engine with 562 hp (419 kW / 570 PS). The many features of the LFA enable it to rocket from 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 325 km/h (202 mph).
