Kia Motors overseas sales up 2.7% in 2013
Kia Motors Corporation announced its 2013 full-year global sales figures, recording a total of 2,746,643 units sold. This figure represents a 1.4% cumulative year-on-year increase compared to 2012. Sales of Kia vehicles in all overseas markets climbed by 2.7% to 2,288,643 units compared to 2012.
In 2013, Kia posted a year-on-year sale increase in China of 12.7% (577,386 units sold) and Europe of 3.4% (590,210 units sold) along with a positive gain in general markets of 0.8% (513,419 units sold).
Kia’s bestselling model in overseas markets during 2013 was the Rio with 470,766 units sold. The Sportage was the second best seller with 389,698 units delivered, while the Cerato Optima and Sorento followed with 376,322, 255,383 and 200,891 units sold, respectively.
