Jazeera Airways Expands India Network with Four New Destinations

Jazeera Airways today announced the addition of four new destinations to its India network — Kozhikode, Tiruchirappalli, Mangalore, and Kannur. With this expansion under Project Vande Bharat, Jazeera Airways now serves a total of 12 destinations with 49 weekly flights across the country, becoming the only airline operating from Kuwait to India, further reinforcing its role in maintaining essential connectivity during this critical period.

The newly added routes build on Jazeera’s existing network of eight Indian cities - Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Mumbai, and Thiruvananthapuram, significantly enhancing access for the large Indian diaspora based in Kuwait. The new cities are designed to facilitate continued movement of people and support communities with strong social and economic ties between Kuwait and India. Kozhikode, Tiruchirappalli, Mangalore, and Kannur operated via King Fahad International Airport in Dammam, KSA, will strengthen connectivity to key regions in South India, enabling passengers to travel closer to home with greater convenience.

Barathan Pasupathi, Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways, said: “India remains one of our most important markets, and this expansion, a part of our Project Vande Bharat, reflects our commitment to keeping Kuwait connected to the large Indian diaspora that live and work here. Since we restarted operations to India on 20 March, we have transported over 11,000 Indian passengers. By growing our network to 12 destinations, we are enabling more direct access for passengers to reach their hometowns, particularly across South India, while continuing to support essential travel during this period.

The expanded India network also supports the movement of essential workforce segments, helping professionals return to their roles and sustain critical sectors, while maintaining the flow of cargo and supply chains between the two countries.

Kaizar Shakir, Chairman, Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC) Kuwait, said: “The Indian Business and Professionals Council (IBPC) Kuwait commends Jazeera Airways’ for further expanding Kuwait - Indo connectivity from eight to 12 destinations across the country.

At a time when travel disruptions have created significant challenges for the Indian community, Jazeera’s commitment under its Project Vande Bharat, to restore and enhance these links have been both timely and impactful. This commitment goes beyond operations. It reflects a genuine sense of responsibility towards the people and businesses that rely on these vital connections between Kuwait and India.”

Operating through its dual-base network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Dammam and Qaisumah Airports, Jazeera Airways continues to provide an alternative travel corridor integrating air and overland transport, ensuring passengers can travel to and from Kuwait despite ongoing operational constraints.

Currently Jazeera Airways has more than 31 destinations, 10 countries, 1000 flights, 250,000 seats, and over 2 million tons of cargo capacity planned through the end of April. More capacity is being added gradually as Jazeera continues to play a vital role in keeping Kuwait connected, enabling people to reunite with families, return to work, and maintain the continuity of essential services.
