Jafza wins Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award

Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), Dubai’s flagship Free Zone business, has won the prestigious Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award – Diamond Category.

The award was presented by His Highness Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, to HE Salma Ali Saif Bin Hareb, CEO of Jafza and Economic Zones World at a glittering Award Ceremony held at Emirates Palace, in Abu Dhabi yesterday (November 24).

Salma Hareb commenting on the prestigious award said: “We are honoured and proud to win the prestigious Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award this year. The award reinforces our deep commitment to service excellence, which results in higher productivity, greater value to customers, people and ultimately to the society and the country. Excellence is an ongoing journey for us. The award inspires us to strive for greater accomplishments in future.”

Jafza’s outstanding service standards, consistent growth over the years, innovative products, CSR initiatives and increased dialogue with the customers and employees alike were among the several factors for Jafza’s prestigious win.

The Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA), instituted by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, aims to recognize the achievements of organisations that demonstrate a world-class standard in their procedures and operations. The award provides an international benchmark of excellence for participating companies.

SKEA uses the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) Model to assess the participating entities. The entire application and assessment process has been designed to recognize organisations that demonstrate high performance across a comprehensive range of parameters and show overall improvement consistently over the years.

Jafza has been one of the key drivers of Dubai’s continued growth across the years. The Free Zone contributes over 21% to Dubai’s GDP and has played strategic role in attracting FDI to the emirate and the country. Jafza companies together generated trade worth USD 90 billion in 2013.
