Jafza celebrates Flag Day

Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), the flagship free zone of Dubai and trade and logistics hub for the greater Middle East, hoisted the UAE Flag today (Monday, November 03, 2014) in Jafza to celebrate the accession of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the UAE.

HE Salma Ali Saif Bin Hareb, CEO of Jafza and Economic Zones World (EZW), the parent company of Jafza, hoisted the UAE flag in the presence of senior Jafza and EZW officials including Ibrahim Mohamed Al Janahi, Deputy CEO of Jafza and Chief Commercial Officer of EZW, Asim Al Abbasi, Chief Financial Officer, Talal Al Hashimi, Chief Operation Officer, Adel Bin Turkeya, Chief Resources Officer, and staff.

Salma Hareb, on the occasion, on behalf of EZW, extended her greetings and congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of all the Emirates and the people of the UAE.

Salma Hareb said: “The UAE flag day celebrations reflect the spirit of national unity and the commitment of the people to serve the flag and to sacrifice everything to preserve the dignity and honour of the nation. It also reflects their unfettered loyalty to the country’s wise leadership that has led and continues to steer the nation on the path of development and prosperity.”

“Today we celebrate the country’s remarkable achievements, in practically all the fields, right from economic development, public health, education to social welfare, that has placed the UAE among the fastest growing economies in the world, made possible, only by our wise and visionary leadership,” she added.

Ibrahim Mohamed Al Janahi, Deputy CEO of Jafza and Chief Commercial Officer of EZW said: “There are only a few nations like the UAE in the world who have evolved into a global hub for trade and logistics in just 42 years of its existence. This could only be made possible under the guidance of our wise leadership that inspired us to conceive, initiate and complete ambitious projects on time making the country the most favoured investment destination in the world.”
