International students experience education in the UAE

Three students from Germany’s Hamburg School of Business Administration (HSBA) are attending the winter semester at the University of Dubai (UD). The three students, Sasche Kafke, Jean-Luc Winkler and Julia Rückert, are taking courses in Business Negotiating Skills and International Business Management. 

The University of Dubai has been collaborating with HSBA since 2004 and has received several students from the university and has also sent some of its students to Germany for internships. 

“We are not only teaching students to be business leaders in the UAE,” University of Dubai President Dr. Omar Hefni said, “we are teaching students to be international business leaders who will go on to travel the world to pursue their ambitions. This is why we have an international accreditation; so our degree will be recognized all over the world. This is why we just signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate with California State University Fullerton and this is why we continue to promote international collaboration on all levels.” 

UD has partnership agreements with four universities in the United States, one in France and one in Germany. Last week it signed a memorandum of understanding with California State University, Fullerton, to explore a range of learning opportunities like the exchange of students, faculty and scholars, collaborative research projects and academic programs and the exchange of library resources and research material.
