Intercontinental Abu Dhabi celebrates ‘Responsible Business Week’ in partnership with National Geographic

As part of a global initiative, InterContinental Abu Dhabi celebrates ‘Responsible Business Week’, 3rd – 9th October 2011, which highlights the work that InterContinental Hotels & Resorts around the world is doing to sustain and enhance their local destination. 

In partnership with National Geographic's Center for Sustainable Destinations, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts properties regularly take part in activities that ensure their location remains an appealing place to visit for future generations. 

To celebrate this noble initiative, InterContinental Abu Dhabi is carrying out various activities to help make a difference, such as: partnering with the Emirates Diving Association for a marina clean-up, all hotel colleagues to take part in a ‘No Car Dar’ to work, providing venues and organizing activities in collaboration with the Special Care Centre for children with special needs as well as clothing donations. 

In addition, InterContinental Abu Dhabi will be holding a recycling day on October 8th, 2011, from 9am till 5pm at the Marina car park. In corporation with the Centre for Waste Management in Abu Dhabi, InterContinental Abu Dhabi invites you to join this initiative by bringing along your dry recyclable materials such as paper, cardboard, aluminum, cans, glass and plastic to our recycling station and help support our local community!
