Imdaad holds blood donation campaign at Jebel Ali headquarters

In line with its corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, Imdaad, a leading provider of integrated facilities and environment solutions in the GCC, recently organised the ‘Imdaad Blood Donation Campaign’ within the premises of its Jebel Ali Headquarters. Held under the theme ‘1 Pint of Blood Can Save 3 Lives. Give the Gift of Life, Donate Blood,’ the event drew a large number of employees, including senior management, to donate blood which was turned over to Latifa Hospital in Dubai.

The Imdaad Blood Donation Campaign complements the company’s CSR activities that promotes responsive civic and social duties with the objective of giving back to society in a meaningful manner. The drive is also intended to raise awareness on the importance of regular blood donation among employees because of blood’s shelf life of only 42 days under refrigeration. The donated blood is mostly used for thalassaemia patients as well as cases of open-heart surgeries, maternity health complications, and road accidents, among others.
