IBQ announced its sponsorship of the Peruvian photography exhibition “Andares: Peruvian Paso Horse”, under the patronage of the Embassy of the Republic of Peru in Qatar and its Ambassador H.E. Mr. Julio Florian. The exhibition will take place at the Qatar Photographic Society Exhibition Hall (Building 18) in Katara, The Cultural Village, from the 1st of May until the 19th of May.

George Nasra, Managing Director of IBQ said: “At IBQ we are pleased to take part in this high profile photo art exhibition.  It is indeed a privilege to be associated with Katara, the Embassy of the Republic of Peru, the Qatar Photographic Society and the Peruvian Paso Horse Association. This event will showcase the Peruvian artist, Ana Maria’s dazzling artistic talent that features Peru’s national emblem, the Paso horse. IBQ’s sponsorship of the exhibition denotes our commitment to support events from all disciplines which we believe enhance our community to spread cultural and social awareness.”

Open to the public, the exhibition will present the renowned Peruvian artist Ana Maria Garcia Montero’s spectacular pieces portraying the majestic beauty of the Peruvian Paso Horse, an internationally recognized symbol of Peru’s national cultural heritage.

Under the title Andares (Gait), Ana Maria Garcia Montero provides spectators with a glimpse of the famous Paso Horse. By capturing these iconic creatures in their natural state, attendees will be able to experience Ana Maria’s profound artistic sensibility and unique comprehension of the photographic lens. Her vivid display of these regal horses takes viewers on a journey far away from their ceremonial show arenas and ventures deep into the quietness of their farms.

Originating from Peru, the horse descended from Spanish, Arab, Berber, and Andalusian horses over 400 years ago. In addition to its imperial bloodline, the horse is famous for its gait and temperament, nobility and pride, beauty and showy excellence, due to over four centuries of patient and dedicated breeding.

Ana Maria Garcia, born in Peru, has always had the passion to promote and preserve the Peruvian culture. To support her artistic talents, IBQ has aligned itself with numerous entities and organizations to reach out to various parts of the community through initiatives and endeavors that serve to underline the significance of arts and culture for the welfare of society in Qatar.
