IBQ sponsors Peter and the Wolf in Doha

The American School in Doha (ASD) Chamber Music Series, sponsored by IBQ, announced its upcoming family concert featuring Serge Prokofiev’s most famous work a fairytale titled “Peter and the Wolf. The concert will take place on Friday, 11^th of May at 2:00pm in the ASD Fine Arts Theatre.

Peter and the Wolf” is a famous fairytale that will attract families and friends to come and enjoy a wonderful educational concert once again in Doha, stated George Nasra, Managing Director of IBQ.

Tickets will be sold at 100QAR for adults and 50QAR for students and can be bought from the ASD Central Office and the International Center for Music. In addition, IBQ customers can benefit from a 50% discount when their IBQ ATM card is presented.

Peter and the Wolf is a famous composition written in 1936 by the well known Russian composer, Serge Prokofiev. It is a children’s story spoken by a narrator and accompanied by an orchestra. This Chamber Music version will be narrated in English and last for approximately 45 minutes.

The association of IBQ with the ASD Chamber Music Series reflects IBQ’s commitment to promote culture in all its aspects. With Corporate Social Responsibility topping the bank’s agenda, IBQ has been committed to sponsoring a series of events that serve the purpose of raising awareness of culture and education.  To do so, IBQ has reached out to various organizations in the arts across the country to achieve this objective.

The 2011-2012 season includes five concerts that have taken place from November last year and will culminate in a Grand Finale in June 2012.
