Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University aligns Business & HRM program with SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates

Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University (HBMeU), a leader in the field of e-Learning and quality management in the Arab World, has announced that the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has acknowledged that HBMeU’s Bachelor of Business & Human Resource Management fully aligns with SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates. HBMeU joins 215 educational institutions worldwide, including 269 programs that have been acknowledged by SHRM as being in alignment with its suggested guides and templates.
The recognition reaffirms that HBMeU has adopted the highest quality standards for its HRM program and also guarantees that learners are able to enjoy a genuinely conducive environment for learning and training. HBMeU further revealed that the SHRM recognition is part of the university’s continuing efforts to update and expand its e-learning programs.
Prof. Khalid Hafeez, e-School of Business and Quality Management, Dean, HBMeU, said: “It is important to constantly update and enhance our academic programs to provide a truly comprehensive learning experience in the university. Aligning our Business & Human Resource Management program with SHRM’s HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates was therefore an important step in realizing our mission of cultivating creativity, innovation and scientific excellence in the academe.”
The HR Curriculum Guidebook and Templates were developed by SHRM to define the minimum HR content areas that should be studied by HR learners at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The guidelines, created in 2006 and revalidated in 2010, are part of SHRM’s Academic Initiative to define HR education standards taught in university business schools and help universities develop degree programs that follow these standards.
HBMeU is the first e-learning institute in the Arab World that was established with the vision to develop a new learning process through the implementation of learning practices characterised by flexibility, quality and diversity to strengthen self-leadership among learners and prepare them socially and academically for a future career through integration in the job market. HBMeU’s philosophy is based on vital methods that have been developed through extensive research and development by specialists from all over the world. These methods include offering high quality programs, supporting the pursuit of lifelong learning, promoting the freedom of information, reinforcing the culture of excellence and innovation and providing education for everyone in line with the highest standards of comprehensiveness and credibility. The university seeks to constantly identify knowledge needs, support research and development programs and create an outstanding environment for e-learning.
