Grand Millennium Al Wahda launches ‘Biggest Shrinker’ competition

Grand Millennium Al Wahda, part of global hotel company Millennium & Copthorne, has launched its ‘Biggest Shrinker’ competition which will see up to 50 participants challenge themselves to battle the bulge and kick start a healthier lifestyle. The winner will receive prizes worth AED 20,000, with the final results announced 3^rd of December.   

Participants need to sign up before 30^th September, and the challenge starts 8^th October. Weekly progress updates and weight checks every Saturday will make sure participants are all on track. Divided into five groups of ten at the start, the person who makes the least progress during the week will no longer be eligible to win. 

Michael Sorgenfrey, General Manager of Grand Millennium Al Wahda Hotel said: “Many people struggle to keep a routine of exercise and healthy habits during the summer so we are excited about this challenge designed to motivate and guide people to a healthy lifestyle. The ‘Biggest Shrinker’ stands to win some fantastic prizes.”    

The enrollment fee of AED 500 will entitle the participant to unlimited access to the health club, two branded ‘Biggest Shrinker’ T-shirts, a starter kit including gym bag, water bottle, low GI food guide, meal plans and recipes, as well as a workout chart to track progress. A programme of motivational speakers will help motivate and guide participants, with notable guests including Tori Leckie, Long distance marathon runner sponsored by Adidas; Laura Holland, Nutritional Therapist; Gus Moustakas, Executive Chef; Houry Pappins, Hypnotherpist and Heinz Fuchsbichler  from Al Wahda Sports Club Coach.
