A new group of trainees joined FGB’s ‘Nujoom’ fast-track management programme this week. This is the fifth group of participants to benefit from the bank’s unique training programme, which provides Emirati university graduates with real-life, ‘on-the-job’ experience leading to their first management appointment at the bank.

The ‘Nujoom’ programme was launched in 2012 as part of FGB’s strategy to support Emiratis’ development into leadership roles in financial services. The 18-month programme provides a unique opportunity for young Emiratis to grow at FGB by exposing them to a diverse range of activities across the bank. In addition to the formal training elements of the Nujoom programme, each management trainee is assigned particular job responsibilities in their chosen function which includes Strategy and Planning, Wholesale Banking, Wholesale Credit, Corporate Affairs, Consumer Banking, and Human Resources.

Candidates were chosen following a rigorous selection process and fierce competition from a record number of applicants. Once they successfully complete the programme, graduates will continue to grow their career at FGB in their chosen area.
