EY Jordan to Host ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ Forum for Second Consecutive Year

In line with its commitment to encouraging entrepreneurship and stimulating dialogue between industry frontrunners in the Kingdom, EY Jordan will host the Entrepreneur Of The Year Forum on Sunday 10 December, 2017, for the second consecutive year, at the Sheraton Amman Al Nabil Hotel. Providing a platform for Jordan’s sharpest entrepreneurs, thinkers and business leaders to engage in a day of enlightening sessions, the Forum, titled ‘Innovation Realized,’ will feature the participation of local, regional and international speakers from across a multitude of industries, each offering a distinctive perspective on the issues related to the cultivation of a pro-innovation environment in the Kingdom.
The Entrepreneur Of The Year Forum will take place one day before the culmination of EY Jordan’s 2017 Entrepreneur Of The Year program, which will conclude with the revelation of this year’s award winners on Monday 11 December, 2017. The Forum aims to provide an interactive element to EY Jordan’s annual Entrepreneur Of The Year award ceremony gala, whereby local and regional experts from across the private and public sectors are allowed the invaluable opportunity to share their expertise through two panels discussions, titled, ‘The DNA of Innovation’ and ‘Superfluid Industries’, to best help innovators thrive and contribute to the overall development of the region.
“Building on the resounding success of last year’s Entrepreneur Of The Year Forum, we are delighted to bring it back for its second consecutive year and thus play a major part in the conversation about innovation, which has taken the region by storm,” said Waddah Barkawi, Partner at EY Jordan and Entrepreneur Of The Year Award Country Leader for Jordan. “Today, the term ‘innovation’ reflects the region’s collective efforts to bring and sustain change for the better in all areas and sectors. This year’s Forum, which augments the impact of the Entrepreneur Of The Year Award Program, will revolve around the ways we can nurture and streamline a better atmosphere for innovation in the businesses scene and among our young innovators in particular.”
Created to recognize the accomplishments of the most successful and dynamic entrepreneurs around the world and to contribute to an innovative and creative global business environment, the global Entrepreneur Of The Year Program, now in its 31st year, has grown to encompass more than 145 cities across 60 countries worldwide to date. It is the first and only truly global award for entrepreneurs who have established inspiring businesses that significantly contribute to the world’s social and economic well-being.
