James Hogan, Etihad Airways’ President and Chief Executive Officer said: “As the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, we are committed to fostering closer relations between Australia and the UAE.

“The establishment of a formal partnership with the Australia Arab Chamber of Commerce & Industry is a significant milestone in realising this goal.

“We look forward to working with the chamber’s executive team to develop further opportunities for diplomatic, business and cultural exchange.”

The Abu Dhabi-based airline will support the AACCI’s missions to and from the Arab Region, and help to build trade, economic and cultural ties between Australia and the Arab League community.

AACCI chief executive, Jonathan Herps said: “The AACCI Etihad Corporate Partnership is a great outcome and we look forward to seeing it develop in a way that will add real value for both Etihad Airways and AACCI."
