ESMA conducts seminars on environmental testing and crane inspection

Within the framework of ESMA activities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the efforts of implementing UAE strategies in promoting cooperation and integration of federal and local organizations, ESMA organised two seminars – both held on 13 November 2011 at Hilton Hotel, Abu Dhabi.

The first seminar was in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and Abu Dhabi Environment Authority and addressed the regulation and registration of environmental testing in the emirate. It was attended by various experts from laboratories, consultancy firms and related governmental organizations. The lectures addressed the significance of ESMA’s role in society, accreditation procedures and the efforts of Abu Dhabi Environmental Authority to regulate environmental testing, ensuring consumer protection.

The second seminar was in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development and Department of Health, Safety and Environment of Abu Dhabi Municipality, and addressed regulation and registration of crane inspection activities in Abu Dhabi. It was attended by various experts from inspection companies and related government and private organizations. The lectures also addressed the significance of ESMA’s role in society, accreditation procedures and the efforts of Abu Dhabi Municipality to regulate crane inspection activities, ensuring consumer protection.
