ENOC joins UAE’s ‘Flag Day’ celebrations

Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) and its subsidiaries today celebrated the 8^th ‘UAE National Flag Day’ in response to the call by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. Several hundred ENOC employees celebrated the accession of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the UAE by raising the National Flag at the company’s headquarters in Dubai.

Saif Al Falasi, Group Chief Executive Officer of ENOC, said: “This is a great day for our residents to celebrate ‘Flag Day’ which has become a symbol of inspiration for all of us. As we remember the accession of HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the UAE, we are appreciative of the guidance of our visionary leaders, who inspire and continue to take us to great heights.

“The ‘Flag Day’ is a strong symbol of our commitment to further support our leaders’ goal to establish the UAE among the best nations in the world, directly in line with the UAE Vision 2021.”

The ‘UAE National Flag Day’ marks the start of the UAE National Day celebrations, to be held on December 2, 2015. As in previous years, ENOC will organise a wide range of activities to commemorate ‘The Spirit of the Union’, underlining the company’s solidarity to the nation, the organisation’s culture of volunteerism and commitment to excellence.
