On Valentine’s Day, The Dubai Mall Unveils ‘Love Me’ Sculpture

Perfectly reflecting the sky-high Burj Khalifa from its mirrored steel surface, Richard Hudson’s “LOVE ME” sculpture has found a new home in the city’s emerging hub for art The Dubai Mall. Unveiled just in time for the most romantic day of the year, ‘LOVE ME’ will be an iconic fixture on the promenade and it is the latest piece to be added to Emaar’s growing community art portfolio.
Inspired by his ongoing quest for the perfect curve and line, the heart-shaped piece exhibit’s Hudson’s fondness for iconic and abstract works. The reflective nature of the design allows an observer of the piece to be present within the sculpture, so every visitor will experience a truly unique and personal perspective of the artwork.
Richard’s works have been exhibited around the world, including exhibitions across Europe, UK, USA and Asia; with private collections curated for the likes of Sir Elton John, Claudia Schiffer, Michael Douglas & Catherine Zeta Jones. The arrival of “LOVE ME” at The Dubai Mall marks his first commissioned public art work in the region.
