du Youth Council Inspires Young ICT Leaders to Shape Innovative Solutions for Global Challenges

du Youth Council, today, held an inspiring Youth Circle Event under the title of “Developing Today’s Digital World Leaders”. The event was attended by Osman Sultan Chief Executive Officer EITC,  Fahad Al Hassawi Deputy CEO EITC, Farid Faraidooni Deputy CEO EITC, Ibrahim Nassir Chief Human Capital and Administration Officer, Ahmad Aburahima Senior Vice President for Government Relations, Jasim AlAwadi Senior Vice President - Service Operations and Ali Al Mansoori Vice President - Human Capital Development. In addition to 35 youth participants  from the company, at the Youth Hub in Emirates Towers, Dubai.

During the two-hour session, youth participants discussed the topics at hand, which included the reasons why information and communications technology (ICT) is a key pillar to the nation’s growth. They exchanged ideas on solutions, such as the importance of innovation in the workplace amongst the youth, as well as the skills required to achieve a company’s digital transformation strategy. The youth also tackled various fields that they can contribute to – such as overcoming cyber security threats in the digital transformation.

du’s Youth Council was established to provide an environment that listens to the youth’s ideas and outputs within an organisation, and was created to reinforce the role of the youth and support their engagement in organisations. The Council will be a pacemaker for change and a unified and sustainable platform to engage decision makers in youth-led organisations and initiatives.
