du #PostWisely Campaign receives industry recognition at prestigious Dubai Lynx and Digital MENA Awards

du’s #PostWisely campaign was lauded for its creativity during two separate industry awards ceremonies. The Public Service Announcement garnered acclaim with two Grand Prix awards at the Dubai Lynx. The campaign was further honoured with a bronze award at the Digital MENA Awards a week later.

du, was awarded with 13 Dubai Lynx Awards at this year’s event. The UAE’s most creatively awarded telecommunications company received an impressive amount of awards at this year’s Dubai Lynx, including a Gold statue , and 6 silver statues, in addition to the two Grand Prix nods. With the company’s “du Tuesday” campaign on a phenomenal run, winning for the 4th consecutive year 2 silver statues and 2 bronze statues.

During the Digital MENA Awards, held at the Westin Mina Seyahi in Dubai, du was honoured with two additional awards for its Tourist Journey Campaign. The telecommunications provider won the awards for the Best Integrated Digital Campaign and the Best Use of Digital by Sector: Technology or Telecommunications.

du was recognized for its award-winning #PostWisely campaign that was created to inspire the online community in the UAE to think before they post on social media. A study conducted by du in light of the campaign, found that of the 75% of respondents who had been befriended or followed on social media by people they don’t normally interact with, nearly half (49%) accepted 50% or more of these unfamiliar requests—a rather concerning figure. The campaign consisted of du sharing a series of hard hitting Public Service Announcements (PSA) videos that provided a glimpse into the danger lurking on the Internet, as well as survey results detailing UAE social media users’ relationship with the internet. The campaign also achieved a host of trophies in the Gold and Silver categories. The #PostWisely Campaign received a bronze award for Digital Cause Marketing at the Digital MENA Awards.
