DPG appoints Charles Biele as CEO of Dubai Properties

Dubai Properties Group (DPG), the property development arm of Dubai Holding, has announced the appointment of Charles Biele as CEO of Dubai Properties (DP). A veteran of the real estate industry, Mr. Biele has nearly 30 years of experience in all aspects of real estate development and operations in the US and the MENA region, including 8 years living and working in Dubai, Qatar, Libya, and Saudi Arabia. He will oversee all aspects of the company with particular focus on the company’s strategy and business development in order to deliver an integrated, end-to-end real estate development solution for the group. 

Mr. Biele’s real estate experience covers a broad spectrum of developments from mixed-use master planned communities to iconic destination projects with end-to-end experience in all stages of development from  project conceptualization to financial underwriting, design, construction, sales and marketing, operations, asset management and divestiture. 

The news follows the recent restructure which saw DPG transition into a holding company overseeing three dedicated companies responsible for project development, portfolio management and asset management.  Under its new remit, DP is responsible for the design, development, sales and handover of DPG’s retail, commercial, residential and mixed-use projects to meet the needs of Dubai’s growing population.

Mr Biele holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Virginia Tech in the United States. He has also developed a limited proficiency in reading, writing and speaking Arabic.
